I have 4 month old twin girls. They are fraternal twins and are georgeous !!! I am a biased mother of course. During the day when my husband is at work, I am finding that they are sleeping less and less. They are getting older I know and should be more alert now, but sometimes I feel like I just want to run away and hide, because they just wont sleep !!! They will sometimes cat nap all day for about a half an hour each and then be really exhausted by the time dad gets home from work. I've tried bathing them and filling them up with more milk, but to no avail. They just love attention from me and to be around me all the time. I wouldn't mind so much, but nothing gets done !!! Does anyone have any advise or even if someone else out there is going through the same thing I'd appreciate hearing from you just for someone to talk to about it.

i have 20 month old fraternal twin girls and when they were 6 months old i started putting them in their cots at 9.30am (blackout blinds a must) it was hard at first because they cried but after a while they got used to it and they sleep til 11am. I put them down again at 2.30pm and they sleep til 3.30pm!!! They cry for a while but soon fall asleep. It took time but it works brilliant now and i get my free time!

Hang in there!!! I have twin girls turning 1 year old this week. You are going through one of the hardest stages and yes nothing will get done, but remind yourself that it will get better. I'm even getting the laundry done now!

I HAVE 10 MONTH OLD BOY/GIRL TWINS AND I TOO HAD A HARD TIME GETTING ANYTHING DONE IN THE BEGINNING. EVERYONE TOLD ME NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THE HOUSE OR THE LAUNDRY IT WILL EVENTUALLY GET DONE. EASY TO SAY BUT NOT EASY TO DO. I AM SUCH A CLEAN FREAK AND WE ALL KNOW THAT IS A HARD THING TO BE WHEN YOU HAVE TWINS. WHAT I DID AND INFACT STILL DO IS PUT THEM IN THEIR CRIBS AT THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY . IF THEY ARE TIRED, WHICH THEY USUALLY ARE, THEY FALL ASLLEP. IF NOT THEY PLAY IN THE CRIB FOR AN HOUR WHILE I START THE LAUNDRY AND DO THE DISHES. THEY ARE SO USE TO THIS NOW THEY KNOW IT IS NAPPY TIME AT 11:00. THIS IS WHAT WORKS FOR ME. HOPE I HAVE HELPED.

Hi - My boys are now 19 months and were good sleepers from the beginning. However, don't expect any schedule until 6 months. At that point you'll have to set strict nap and bed times. Do the same rountine for each time. Each child gets a bottle, diaper, story and down in the crib. Same order for each nap time and bed time. Also, don't pick them up as soon as they cry, let them go a few minutes or go in and turn on their music - they might fall back to sleep. Finally, don't give them a bottle for at least 1/2 hour until after they wake up, it will train their stomachs to go longer and they'll begin to sleep longer stretches. Good luck.
