We are identical twins,55 years old. We have never been close and never wil be. She was always my Mother's favorite and Mother made no secret of the fact. All these years, I have had therapy and try so hard to try and make our disfunctional family functional. It can't be done. I have 2 brothers, not twins, who have left the family. My parents disowned them and they were extremely happy about that. Now, I am probably going to be disowned.
We were going down to see them all for Thanksgiving, a big concession on my part. I had a hoarse voice from brohnchitis but am totally well now.
Anyway,my evil twin calls and says I should go to the dr and BRING A NOTE saying I am not contagious or no one is coming to Thanksgiving dinner. She,as I do, has a disabled child and said my bronchitis could kill her.
I lost it. I asked her who the hell she thought she was to treat me like this. She told me my temper tantrums don't scare her. I told her not to flatter herself that I would care.
This is all very upsetting because my Dad is 85 and he may not be here next year because of his health problems. I may never get to see him again and that's the way my sister wants it. I might add that it was my MOTHER who called and told my sister I had brohnchitis.
I am really, really upset but this has been coming for a long time. I just feel bad for my son who loves his grandfather but not his grandmother. She's meaner then a snake.
So, that's it. My family is gone. I am so heartbroken but nothing can change things. It's been this way too long.
I always hated being a twin and I always hated my twin. That still stands true.
My family is now my husband, son and his wonderful wife.
